samsung tab display brightness grayed out
When I go to settings to try to change the level of brightness, this is greyed out and cannot be selected.
So my Galaxy S II's battery is now pretty low (4%) and the brightness setting appears to be greyed out - I can't even get into the option to change the brightness or turn on auto. Is there a way around this? Regardless of whether it saves power, I'd still rather have full control over my brigthness settings.

ReplyDeleteMany of the Samsung phones will disable the brightness controls when the battery of the phone drops below 10%. Plugging it in should change the dimmed screen immediately and restore controls as will fully charging the phone.
ReplyDeleteNope. My brightness is greyed out and it's plugged in and charging, still greyed. The product is defective if it can't manage it.
DeleteVery stupid. Sometimes you can save a lot of power by really dimming the screen below what is the default even in power saving mode, and it works just fine reading in the dark. Why does Samsung always think it knows best. Just stupid. I hate it when these software guys writing the software just try to make every decision and don't geive any choice.
